Wikipedia leaves the digital world
The most famous encyclopaedia digital community is about to be published in paper paper . It is the company Bertelsmann, the German media group, who will take the German part of Wikipedia to commercialize an edition paper with nearly 50,000 items (700,000 items of this part).
The major innovation is that this book will be formed from keywords that have been the most requested over the period 2007-2008. This choice allows to give this issue a document character topical rather than encyclopedia traditional.
Bertelsmann plans to market this version paper in September at a price of € 19.95 and if success is to go, it will become annual.
In addition, the encyclopedia paper will be distributed under a free license of copyright. Something that arouses discontent on the side of content publishers to Wikipedia . But the German company has promised to donate 1 € per volume sold to the Wikimedia Foundation to promote the German version of Wikipedia .
This encyclopedia is aimed at a new audience who will learn to use this incredible source of content. For the little info, publisher Robert Laffont decided a few weeks ago, to stop publication of Quid paper , which will only be available on the net.
