A Page Rank for images
One of the tools flagship Google to indicate the level of awareness of a site's page rank. It gives the site a score computed according to criteria specific to Google . The higher the score, the higher the site is important and appear at the top of search pages Google . So why not apply this principle to an area that is still lacking to search engines: images.
Indeed, for an image, you often have to spend pages and pages of results to find something that approximates to our patients.
Therefore, during the last International World Wide Web Conference in Beijing, Google announced a new service indexing for image. The algorithm based on the Page Rank is called Visual Rank .
For now, the service has just been applied to 2000 most requested images, like iPod, Zune or Xbox and would improve by more than 80% search relevance.
