The specifications of USB 3.0 available
Intel has released the specifications of the standard USB 3.0 pre-release 0.9. This new USB standard, also known under the name SuperSpeed USB, becomes gradually a reality.
Following the ever increasing amounts of storage, as well as the speed of computer equipment, the USB 2.0 standard, widespread, is becoming inappropriate. This is why various players in the IT industry like HP, Intel , Microsoft, NEC, NXP and Texas Instruments began developing a new USB standard capable of supporting transfer rates higher.
The current speed of USB 3.0 is ten times more powerful than USB 2.0 or 625Mo / s against 60MB / s at present. That makes about the transfer of a divx second. More good news, the USB 3.0 will use the same ports as USB 1.1 and 2.0 to avoid the costs of equipment replacement.
So we have a clearer picture of this new standard that will compete with firewire and standards that we will appear slowly on our computer equipment from 2009-2010. Further information on the USB monitor: Wireless USB, Wireless USB.
