A billion Internet!
This is what the institute ComScore has communicated its assessment result last December made to users 15 and older. But this figure expected by analysts hides another figure more importantly, 41% of Internet users are in the Asia Pacific.
China became the country with the largest audience worldwide with 18% or 180 million Internet users, previously held by the United States who now occupy second place with 16.2% followed distantly by Japan with 6%.
France is the sixth in this ranking with 3.4% or 34 million Internet users.
In terms of audiance of sites, including the famous trio Google (with 778 million visitors for the month of December!), Microsoft Sites and Yahoo! Sites
What emerges from this study is that the audience is changing geographically, but the most visited sites keep a certain hierarchy.
